Austin was licensed as Team Vicar in the Tas Valley Team Ministry in January 2019.  He has special responsibility for Tasburgh (with Tharston and Newton Flotman soon to follow). He also leads two of our Cell Church groups.

Austin was born and raised in Aba, in Eastern Nigeria.  He has three brothers and three sisters.  In 1993 he went to study in the Ukraine where he first recognised the call to ordination through active involvement as Committee Leader of Christian Businessmen International Kharkov.  He moved to Holland in 1996, where he worked as a logistics coordinator for Mosaic Traders Aalsmeer before starting his own export business.  Austin is married to Annette and they have three children.  The family worshipped at Christ Church Amsterdam where Austin exercised significant ministry, serving on the church council, and as a youth leader and home group leader.  He helped to plant and lay-lead a new Anglican Church in south-east Amsterdam.  Coming to the UK from the Diocese of Europe, Austin was adopted into Chelmsford Diocese.  He trained for two years at the Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Education in Birmingham and served his curacy with the Mardyke Team Ministry in South Ockendon, Essex.

Austin enjoys biking, jogging, walking, football, watching Arsenal and Norwich City, reading, cooking and meeting people.
