Hands Together
Hands together is an informal group that meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 10.30am - 12.30pm in the Church Room in Saxlingham Nethergate..
We get together to share our love of handwork, to learn and inspire. Show and tell, ask advice, learn new crafts. If it's portable, bring it with you
Knitting, Crochet, Embroidery, Patchwork, Quilting.
You don't need to be accomplished to come along. We offer a warm welcome! There is no charge and no obligation to attend regularly. Tea, coffee and calories are provided
The phrase "Hands Together" expresses the idea of community. We sit together with our handwork. We offer one another the hand of friendship. Our aim is to support and encourage one another as we enjoy each other's company and creativity.
On some occasions throughout the year we offer "specials" which include an element of Christian faith. These are in addition to the usual first Wednesday session and will often reflect a season of the Christian calendar such as Christmas or Easter or they may look at a faith-related topic such as "prayer" in terms of expressing this through handwork. Creativity is a gift of God and these sessions aim to celebrate that.
"Let the beauty of the Lord God be upon us.
Establish Thou the work of our hands.
Establish Thou the work of our hands"
